Record Mart HiFi — 2024 Client Work

Vintage Audio Gear Dealer

RECORDMARTHIFI.COM

Brand Identity  Shopify Web Design  Copywriting  (Amateur) Photography  Email (WIP)  Social (WIP)

Record Mart HiFi is a company with a rich history that buys, restores, and sells vintage home audio gear. My job with Record Mart HiFi was to create a full brand identity (logo suite, typography, color palette, etc.) and update the store’s Shopify website. The outcome was a clean, yet nostalgic rebrand with nods to the shop’s original customer base and mature audience. I drew inspiration from the store’s roots in the NYC subway system as well as the sleek designs of audio equipment found in Record Mart Hifi’s warehouse. This project was a delight, from diving deeper into Record Mart’s past, to conceptualizing a permanent photobooth for product images and assisting the founder with the construction of it. My partnership with the brand is ongoing as I am now in the process of designing and executing its email and social media marketing.

Lanni — 2025-2026 Spec Project

Skincare

Logo  Packaging Design

Lanni is a spec brand I created. Lanolin has been used by women for generations and more recently is getting increased public recognition. It is what my mother used while breastfeeding and found, like many women before her, that it is a miracle for dry skin and lips. Prior to its mainstream realization, I was looking at my very underwhelming lanolin tube thinking how it’d be nice if some of my everyday objects were a bit more pleasing to the eye. I knew I wasn’t alone as I have witnessed a resurgence of design-forward packaging, primarily in beauty products. A call back, if you will, to the times of ornate lipstick cases and intricate lighters. This made me think how putting more intent behind the looks of such a powerful balm could help it gain the attention of a broader audience, not just people who breastfeed. I found a few brands that were a bit more eye catching in my research, but none that had a pure, 100% lanolin option and captured what I was looking for, so Lanni was born.

Lanni is a brand whose goal is not to make as much money as possible, but to share knowledge, encourage discussion, and foster bits of joy with everyday items. This goal was set up for success through a unique tube design and imperfect logo. The packaging gets its uniqueness not by adding graphics or branding, but by removing them and altering the actual structure of a lanolin tube to be unlike others on the market. Its untapered, pill shape not only gives it an intriguing look, but makes unscrewing the cap an easier experience. A removeable information sticker makes it so users can have a clean, practically unbranded tube to carry around. A simple, refillable, metal tin rounds out the packaging lineup and fosters potential for artist collaborations that create intriciately engraved keepsakes. This puts the attention on the object and its contents, not the brand. The only clear-cut branding on Lanni’s packaging is a subtle, debossed logo. A logo that mimics the rhythm of lanolin squeezing out of a tube and is not overly concerned with being completely legible. This lack of overly-obvious branding promotes discussion, appreciating the word of mouth passing of tips and traditions. It focusses on discussing the product and its benefits, whether purchased from Lanni or another brand, in a time where it’s too easy to stay disconnected from community and companies too often put hoarding money above everything else.

Khomus (Aleksandr Khomyakov) — 2025 Internship

Graphic Designer

Apparel Sketches  Web Design/Minimal Dev  Packaging Design  Simple Illustration  Copywriting

BRANDS/PROJECTS:
Slowbooks
Domino’s
Stinky Puzzle

Domino’s brand refresh: WorkInProgress (WIP)
Stinky Puzzle creative direction: Khomus
Stinky Puzzle primary typeface: HB Konjac by HB Type

I have had the privilege of interning for Aleksandr (Alex) Khomyakov of Khomus, a well respected graphic design practice with over a decade of experience. During my tenure as an intern, I was able to touch three different projects. I had the pleasure of getting involved in Slowbooks, “A minimal, no-frills alternative to manage self-employed taxes,” conceptualized by Alex himself. I primarily worked off of Alex’s web homepage design, making it interactive in Figma, then flushing out other page designs and a checkout experience. This led me to research various SaaS payment platforms, like Lemon Squeezey, in order to bridge the gap between ideal aesthetic and practical implementation. I was also tasked with testing Framer to develop the Slowbooks site and figuring out how payment platforms would work and feel in this site builder.

While working with Alex, I was also given the opportunity to brainstorm concepts and design sketches/rough mockups of T-shirt designs for Domino’s new merchandise, coinciding with their late 2025 brand refresh. I got to visualize heat with Domino’s new “mmm” slogan and play around with the brand’s updated food photography and typeface. My final project for this internship was to finish designing a puzzle Alex had begun plotting and create its packaging. The goal of the packaging was to speak to the name of the puzzle, Stinky Puzzle, and utilize the wonderful typeface Alex had sourced. Three main concepts came to mind while designing the packaging: a puzzle box that actually stunk to use because the reference image was black and white and incomplete, a box that looked like it contained stinky, hazardous waste, and the box that we landed on — a sarcastic one with copy that highlights why the puzzle “stinks,” from a spotlighted terrible review, to its incredibly ill advise on puzzling technique. Following the cat theme of the puzzle itself, I rounded off the packaging with graphics inspired by the act of puzzling in a house with a cat — no puzzle piece is safe.

Tyler Mansour, aka @arab_lincoln and founder of Makeshift Studio, is one of the top footwear photographers of his generation. Much of his work has become a blueprint for others in the industry. His unique, gravity defying styling and lacework has made him highly sought after by brands. I had the pleasure of uniting with Tyler to create a pitch deck that showcases his slick photography and creative aptitude. The result was a clean, gridlike display highlighting his process, past collaborations, and acknowledgements from the community. Some, but not all, of the slides have been provided above for viewing.

Faux IDs are a personal project of mine that began with one “ID” greeting card that I customized for friends and family and sent for birthdays, major events, or just for fun. Since beginning this project, my passion for stationery and my love for a thoughtful note from a loved one has grown, as it does when you get older I guess ugh, thus spurring a larger vision for this project. I am in the process of expanding this concept and will have more to come on it soonish! In the meantime, above I’ve provided images of the IDs that started it all as a sneak peak.

Special thanks to Mel and Z for letting me show the world their beautiful faces with these IDs.

Pruni — 2023 Spec Project

Food Brand

DEEP DIVE INTO THIS PROJECT

Brand Identity  Packaging Design  Social  Copywriting

Pruni is a [fictional] prune brand created by me. It focuses on educating Gen-Z and Millennials on the benefits of the fruit and aims to normalize consumption among these younger generations. My goal with Pruni was to develop a full brand identity that playfully embraces the often overlooked advantages of prunes. Pruni’s Y2K tones contribute to the brand's mission of challenging societal norms, particularly regarding topics deemed improper, especially for the feminine audience. The brand is bold and cool yet welcoming and inclusive. Click the link above or here for a full deep dive into this project.
